New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. If you still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or the top-right account menu (or top-left for RTL language users). You can switch back to Legacy Horizon from that menu any time during the transition.
This article is for Officials in the United States who already started adding a bank on a personal Payment Receiver account (or organization payment senders on a business account) in the Payment Center. Use it when verification continues with two small deposits instead of finishing in one step. If you still need to attach the bank first, start with How to add and verify a bank account.
Open Payment Center from Payments in the side menu (or from the Payments area of your account). This works on a phone and on a computer. Stay on the personal account view to receive pay. Organization administrators who send payments stay on the business account view.
How micro-deposits work
After the bank is linked, Horizon sends two very small deposits of different amounts to that account. Those deposits typically take 1 to 3 business days to appear. When Horizon receives confirmation that they arrived, you get an email with the subject Micro-deposits completed!.
Check your bank statement for the two amounts, then return to Payment Center and enter them. That proves you control the account. For security, you have no more than 3 attempts to enter the amounts correctly. After 3 incorrect tries, delete the bank and add it again so a new pair of deposits can be sent. 1. Open Bank Accounts
On Payment Center, open the Utilities menu (the gear on the personal card) and choose Bank Accounts. The Bank Accounts panel lists each linked bank with its nickname, bank name, and status.
On a computer or laptop, the same gear sits on the personal card. Open that Utilities menu and choose Bank Accounts.
2. Wait while deposits are on the way
While the deposits are in flight, the bank card shows that 2 micro-deposits are on their way and asks you to wait for an email before you finish verifying here. If deposits have not been started yet and the card offers Send Verification Deposits, choose it, then wait for the email.
On a computer, the same waiting note appears on the bank card in Bank Accounts.
3. Wait for the email, then choose Verify Now
When the Micro-deposits completed! email arrives, check your bank for the two small deposits, then return to Bank Accounts. The waiting note is replaced by Verify Now. Choose it to open Verify Micro-Deposits.
If you do not see Verify Now yet, Horizon has not received confirmation from your bank. Some banks show the deposits to you a few hours (or even a day or two) before that confirmation reaches Horizon. Wait for the email. The delay is usually only a few hours, and it can be up to 3 business days. More detail is in I received micro-deposits. What do I do?.
4. Enter the two amounts
In Verify Micro-Deposits, enter Micro-Deposit #1 and Micro-Deposit #2. Each amount must be between $0.01 and $0.15, and the two amounts must be different. Then choose Verify Bank Account. You have 3 tries to enter the amounts correctly.
When verification succeeds, the bank shows a Verified badge and is ready for payments. New payment transactions created after that point use this verified bank.
If you still see the older layout
On a computer or laptop, New Horizon is the default starting point as of September 28, 2026. The older legacy layout appears only if you switched back to Legacy Horizon. That older screen uses a Bank Accounts tab instead of the Utilities menu. The rules in this article still apply: wait for the Micro-deposits completed! email before Verify Now, enter both amounts within 3 tries, and delete and re-add the bank after 3 incorrect tries.
