New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. If you still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu. You can switch back to Legacy Horizon from that menu any time during the transition.
This article is for officials who mark days on the Availability Calendar in HorizonWebRef. Use it when you want the same availability on a pattern of weekdays across a date range, instead of tapping one day at a time. Open Recurring Availability
Sign in, then open Availability Calendar from Availability in the menu. On a phone the page title may read Availability. On a larger screen it reads Availability Calendar.
Choose the gear for Utilities, then choose Recurring Availability. That opens Advanced Availability with a date range already started for you. On a phone the gear shows without the word Utilities. On a computer, Utilities sits next to Bulk Edit.
On a computer, the same menu sits under Utilities.
Bulk Edit opens that same Advanced Availability form for a range that starts today. Use Recurring Availability when you want the weekday pattern controls and a range you choose. Keep the range as small as you need for the pattern you are setting.
Choose the range, weekdays, and value
In Advanced Availability, tap or click the date range to change the start and end dates. Below that, turn each weekday On or Off. Days that stay On receive the change. Days you turn Off are skipped for that save.
Then choose Availability Value. Pick Available All Day, Unavailable All Day, or a time window such as Available After, Available Before, Available Between, or Not available Between. Time windows use 15-minute steps. Add Notes when you need them (notes are not offered on Unavailable All Day). Choose Save Availability when the form is complete.
Horizon applies that setting across every matching weekday in the range you selected. Past days cannot be edited. If your assignor has locked days while assigning, those days stay locked until they unlock them.
If you belong to more than one organization, the form can show Save new changes to all organizations. Turn that On only when you want this save to write to every organization you belong to. Turn this on
Officials mark their own calendar. There is no separate switch to turn Recurring Availability on. Organization administrators keep the Horizon WebRef subscription current so the Availability Calendar stays available. If the subscription has ended, officials see Availability Feature Disabled. An official whose account is not Ready sees Account Disabled and cannot edit until an organization administrator marks them Ready.
If you still see the older layout
On a computer or laptop, New Horizon is the default starting point as of September 28, 2026. The older legacy layout appears only if you switched back to Legacy Horizon. On that older layout, recurring edits often live on a top toolbar of the Availability Calendar instead of under Utilities. Use the English words on your screen until that older layout is retired.
