The Horizon software has dedicated apps in the app stores for both Android and iOS. See the related articles for instructions on installing the apps directly from the app stores.
As an alternative to the dedicated mobile apps, these platforms, and many others, also support installing the web app from your web browser. The web app, also called a Progressive Web App (PWA), is something we're able to update faster and control more easily since it does not require special handling or app store approval process. The web app can be installed on any device running the following web browsers:
Google Chrome: Chrome has robust PWA support and was one of the first browsers to introduce PWA installation features. It supports push notifications too.
Mozilla Firefox: Firefox supports installing PWAs, allowing users to add web apps to their desktop or mobile device home screen. It supports push notifications too.
Microsoft Edge: The newer versions of Microsoft Edge, based on the Chromium engine, fully support PWAs and offer installation options. It supports push notifications too.
Safari: Safari also supports PWAs but with some limitations compared to other browsers. It has its own implementation and installation process. Unfortunately, it does not support push notifications yet, but we believe it will someday.
