New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. On a computer or laptop you see it when you are in New Horizon. If you still have the older layout, choose Try the New Horizon Experience from the banner or your account menu. You can switch back from that menu any time.
This article is about one action: Switch to Legacy Horizon. It is not a separate page in the left menu. You open it from your account menu after you sign in. It applies to existing members (officials, assignors, coaches, observers, League Personnel, and organization administrators) who are eligible to use Legacy Horizon during the transition.
Use these steps when you are already in New Horizon on a computer, laptop, or phone browser and you want the older screens for a while. You do not ask an organization administrator to turn this on. When the option is offered, you choose it from your own account. New users and new organizations added or purchased after September 9, 2026 stay on New Horizon and cannot switch back.
The Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS stay on New Horizon. Those apps do not include Switch to Legacy Horizon, now or later. That includes Android phones and tablets, iPhone, and iPad. If you also use a computer, you may still see a switch there during the transition. The apps stay on New Horizon either way.
Switching experiences does not change your account, games, payments, memberships, or other data. You are changing how Horizon looks, not starting over. Legacy Horizon is a temporary bridge for people and organizations that were already using Horizon when the transition began. It is available during the transition so you can finish a busy stretch on screens you already know. New Horizon is the Horizon that is staying. Learning it now means less disruption later.
Early feedback matters. Our engineering team is already making updates to the New Horizon Experience from notes members send during the transition. A specific note can lead to a change you will see. If you are in the mobile apps, skip ahead to How to send feedback that helps. That is the path those apps use.
1. Open your account menu
Stay signed in. You do not need a special web address. Look at the top-right corner of the black bar.
On a phone browser, that control is usually just your photo. It is named Account menu. Tap it.
On a computer or laptop, your photo, name, and role sit together in that same corner. Click that block.
If you do not see a photo or name in the top-right, you may still be on the older layout. Skip to the last section of this article to come back to New Horizon first, then return here.
2. Choose Switch to Legacy Horizon
The account menu opens under your photo. On a phone it fills most of the screen. On a computer it drops down from the top right. Scroll if you need to. Look past My Profile, Password, and the theme line. The switch sits in its own group, above Software Updates.
The line you want is Switch to Legacy Horizon. Tap or click it. Do not choose Share Feedback on New Horizon unless you only want to send a note and stay in New Horizon.
On a computer, the same wording is in that dropdown. The orange mark in the picture is on that line.
If that line is missing, you cannot switch from this sign-in. That is common in the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, for new users and new organizations after September 9, 2026, and in some organizations that stay on New Horizon only. You are already on the experience that membership uses.
3. Tell us why, then switch
A window opens titled Switch to Legacy Horizon. The first line asks you to tell us why before you switch back. Your note helps improve New Horizon. This is the last step. Nothing changes until you confirm.
Choose a Reason. Then fill in Details. If you pick a reason that needs a short description, Horizon asks for one before it will continue. You can attach a screenshot or a spreadsheet if that helps, or skip the attachment. When you are ready, choose Send feedback and switch. Choose Cancel if you want to stay in New Horizon.
While Horizon saves the switch you may see Working... and Please wait. When it finishes, the page reloads on Legacy Horizon. A short message can read Switched to Legacy Horizon.
If you only wanted to send feedback, go back to the account menu and choose Share Feedback on New Horizon instead. That window is titled Help us improve New Horizon, and the button is Send feedback. You stay in New Horizon.
How to send feedback that helps
You do not have to switch to send a note. The most useful feedback arrives early, while we can still change the pages you use every week. Our engineering team reads those notes and is already making updates to the New Horizon Experience from them.
In Details, name the job. Write the page you were on, what you were trying to do, what you expected, and what happened instead. Add whether you were on a computer, a phone browser, or the Horizon WebRef mobile app. If a control is hard to find, use the English words you remember. A screenshot of that screen helps when the layout is the issue.
A short reaction without those facts is hard to act on. A named page and a named job is something we can improve, and it is the kind of note that already leads to updates.
On a computer, laptop, or phone browser, open your account menu and choose Share Feedback on New Horizon when you want to stay in New Horizon. If you are switching, the same details belong in the Switch to Legacy Horizon window before you choose Send feedback and switch.
In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, you will not see Switch to Legacy Horizon or Share Feedback on New Horizon. Those apps stay on New Horizon. From the same account menu, open Help Center or Tech Support and describe the page and the job. You can also open Horizon in a web browser if you want the New Horizon feedback form.
How to come back to New Horizon
You can return whenever you are ready during the transition. On a computer or laptop, look for the banner that says Try the New Horizon Experience (or the shorter Try New Horizon). That banner stays at the top while you are on Legacy Horizon. There is no close button, and Horizon does not remember a hide. Organization administrators cannot turn it off. Your account menu on that older layout can show the same action.
After you choose it, you may see a short welcome, then a practice page that walks you around New Horizon. The first look-around on that practice page is required. Finish those steps, then you land on Home. Your data is still yours.
Give New Horizon a few real tasks when you can, not just a glance. The tools are the same. The layout is the one Horizon is continuing to improve. If something still gets in the way, send the note described above and name the page and the job. Early, specific feedback is how New Horizon keeps getting better.
If you cannot find the switch
Work down this list. Most people who cannot switch are in one of these situations.
Your account was created after September 9, 2026, or the organization you are signed in to was added or purchased after that date. New users and new organizations are not eligible to use Legacy Horizon.
You belong to more than one organization, and the one you are signed in to now stays on New Horizon. Switch groups, then look at the account menu again in an older organization if you have one.
You are still on the older layout, so the menu shows Try the New Horizon Experience instead of Switch to Legacy Horizon.
For the wider story of the change, see Why we are switching to the New Horizon Experience. For where the two menus live, see How to find your way around New Horizon.
If you still see the older layout
On a computer or laptop in a web browser, the older legacy layout stays until you choose Try the New Horizon Experience from the banner or your account menu. That is Legacy Horizon. You do not need Switch to Legacy Horizon because you are already there.
Menus sit across the top of that older screen instead of a left strip and an account photo. Use the English words you see. The banner at the top is how you come back to New Horizon. You cannot hide, dismiss, or get rid of it.
