New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. Existing members can still switch back to Legacy Horizon from the account menu on a computer during the transition. If you switched back and still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu.
This article is a status summary of the New Horizon rollout. It is for every signed-in member. Use it when you need the dated timeline, or when a phone browser shows New Horizon for a page even though you switched back to Legacy Horizon on a computer. For why Horizon is changing, see Why we are switching to the New Horizon Experience. For how to switch back on a computer, see How to switch back to Legacy Horizon.

Rollout timeline
Mobile apps use New Horizon only
The Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS use the New Horizon Experience only. Those apps do not offer Legacy Horizon and cannot switch back. Early New Horizon pieces began appearing in the apps in 2024. By the time the browser transition began in September 2026, the apps were already on New Horizon for everyday use.
September 9, 2026: New Horizon available by choice in a web browser
On September 9, 2026, existing members could try New Horizon in a web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. That was the start of the browser transition. New users and new organizations added or purchased after September 9, 2026 start on New Horizon and cannot switch back to Legacy Horizon.
September 28, 2026: New Horizon becomes the default on computers
As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop in a web browser. Existing members who are eligible can still switch back to Legacy Horizon from the account menu during the transition. The Horizon WebRef mobile apps stay on New Horizon.
Ongoing: older phone layouts retired for specific pages
Horizon is gradually retiring the older mobile-browser layout for individual pages. When a page is on that list, a phone or tablet web browser always opens the New Horizon version of that page, even if you switched back to Legacy Horizon on a computer. The older phone layout for that page is not coming back. At this time, a computer that still uses Legacy Horizon is not changed by this list.
On those pages in a phone browser, you may see a banner that says the mobile legacy version of the page is no longer available, with Try New Horizon if you want the full New Horizon Experience again.
Phone pages where the older mobile layout is retired
As of October 21, 2026, these pages always use New Horizon in a phone or tablet web browser. The older mobile layout for each of them is retired and is not coming back:
Personal Profile
Update Login Credentials
Choose an Organization
Memos
High Priority Message
Organization Policy
Documents
Video Library
Other pages may still show the older mobile layout if you are on Legacy Horizon in a phone browser. Horizon will add more pages to this list over time. This article will be updated when that list changes.
Common questions
Why does my phone show New Horizon for a page when I switched back to Legacy Horizon?
If that page is on the retired list above, the older phone layout is gone for good. Your phone browser opens New Horizon for that page only. Other pages can still use the older mobile layout until they are retired too. At this time, on a computer, Legacy Horizon is unchanged for those pages.
Will the older phone layout come back for those pages?
No. When a page is listed above, the older mobile-browser layout for that page is fully retired. New Horizon is the only phone-browser version of that page.
Do the mobile apps still have Legacy Horizon?
No. The Horizon WebRef apps for Android and iOS use New Horizon only. They cannot switch back.
Can I still use Legacy Horizon on a computer?
Existing members who are eligible can still switch back on a computer during the transition, when Switch to Legacy Horizon appears in the account menu. New users and new organizations added after September 9, 2026 cannot. Legacy Horizon will retire for everyone later; Horizon has not published that retirement date in this article. See How to switch back to Legacy Horizon for the computer steps.
If you still see the older legacy desktop or laptop layout
On a computer or laptop in a web browser, the older legacy layout appears only if you switched back to Legacy Horizon. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point. The banner at the top of the page offers Switch to New Horizon. Your account menu can show the same action.
At this time, the phone-page retirements in this article do not remove Legacy Horizon from a computer. They only replace the older mobile-browser layout for the listed pages.
