Important information if you include assignments with your game imports

Updated over a week ago

Start with the basics.

Before importing assignments, you should be familiar with how to import games via a spreadsheet. You can view details on importing games in this support article.

Importing Assignments

We provide an option during Game Imports for importing official assignments with your games. However, this is a very advanced operation and not a recommended approach for assigning for most organizations.

Importing assignments is a complete override of the system. If you import assignments, the system will not perform any error checks, conflict checks, or eligibility checks. Importing assignments will override and ignore all system rules, conflict detection, and eligibility checks. The system will simply insert the officials' assignments as you instruct, so it would be up to you to verify the assignments are satisfactory and have no conflicts.

We recommend you use our regular in-system assigning tools for creating assignments to take advantage of the 30+ rules and eligibility checks that the system performs to help save you time.

If you choose to import assignments, you can import up to five assignments per game using our 2 column pairings for the official's name (first column), and the assigned position (second column). Be sure to match your template file's format as outlined in the regular Game Import procedures.
