New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. If you still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu. You can switch back to Legacy Horizon from that menu any time during the transition.
This article covers the Travel fees worksheet that assignors and other fee editors open from Master Game Schedule. Use it when you want to review distances and set travel pay for several games at once, instead of editing one assignment fee at a time. Officials who only work games do not open this worksheet. Mass-Edit Fees can still set a Travel fee value across unpaid assignments; this worksheet is the place to see distances and Mileage Rule suggestions beside each row.
Both layouts are in use right now. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS you see the New Horizon Experience. On a computer or laptop, New Horizon is the default starting point as of September 28, 2026. The older legacy layout appears only if you switched back to Legacy Horizon. Match the steps to the screen in front of you. When a control or rule exists on only one layout, this article says so. The steps below start with the New Horizon Experience.
Turn it on
Travel fees needs the Mileage System for your organization. An organization administrator opens System Settings, goes to Features & Settings, and searches for 47 or Mileage System. Feature #47 Mileage System is the switch. Turn it on. The row saves on its own. You should see a short confirmation such as All changes saved.
When Mileage System is off, Travel fees does not appear on Master Game Schedule, and the worksheet explains that travel distance tools are not turned on. You also need permission to change games and to see fees. Everyday officials do not open this worksheet.
Suggestions from Mileage Rules are optional. If your organization uses rules (flat amounts or per-mile rates, with optional distance ranges and game-code limits), add or review them under Mileage Rules first. You can still type travel fees by hand without choosing a rule.
Open Travel fees
On Master Game Schedule, select the contests you want to review. A red bar pins under the top navigation with the selection count, Select visible, Clear, and Actions.
On a computer, Travel fees also appears as a shortcut on that bar when you can use it. Tap or click Travel fees.
On a phone, open Actions, open the Update group, then tap Travel fees.
The panel title is Travel fees. The subtitle says Review distances and set travel pay for the selected games. (Your organization may use a different word for games.) Only contests you can manage stay on the list. Meetings and other ineligible items are skipped. If nothing qualifies, you see No eligible games and a short note to select contests you can manage, then open Travel fees again.
Review distances and set travel pay
Each selected contest shows its date, time, League and Game Code chips when your organization uses them, the matchup, and the venue. Under that, each unpaid assignment lists the official, position, one-way distance, round-trip distance, and a Travel fee amount you can edit.
On a computer, the same worksheet uses the wider layout.
Type a travel fee of 0 or greater. Use the small Set to 0 control beside a row when you want that assignment cleared to zero. Paid assignments stay locked with Paid (travel fee locked) and cannot be changed here. Rows without a distance on file show No distance on file so you know per-mile suggestions will not fill them until a distance exists.
Nothing is saved until you choose Save. Close leaves without saving. If you have unsaved edits, closing asks Discard unsaved travel fees? with Discard and close or Keep editing.
Suggest from Mileage Rules
At the top of the panel, Suggest from Mileage Rules is optional. Choose a Mileage Rule, optionally enter Free first (one-way) units for per-distance rules, then choose Apply suggestions. That fills every unlocked travel fee with the amounts suggested for the selected rule. Restricted rules only fill matching game codes. Per-mile amounts use round-trip distance after any free one-way units.
On a computer, the same controls sit in one row.
After suggestions fill, you can still change any unlocked amount. Use suggested on a row puts that row’s suggested amount into the travel fee field. Zero all travel fees sets every unlocked travel fee on the panel to 0. Discard unsaved throws away fee edits on the panel and restores the amounts that were loaded. None of those actions write to the database until you choose Save.
On a computer, the same filled worksheet uses the wider layout.
When you are ready, choose Save. A short confirmation such as Saved travel fees for n assignment(s). appears when the save works. If nothing needed a change, you may see No travel fees needed that change.
If you still see the older layout
Travel fees is available now, only in the New Horizon Experience. If you still have the older desktop or laptop layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu. On that older layout, set travel fees from each game’s fee tools or Mass-Edit instead of this worksheet.
