How to review official counters

See season totals for games worked, turnbacks, declines, and TBAs, including past seasons your organization can open.

New Horizon Experience. This article describes the New Horizon Experience, which is available now. As of September 28, 2026, New Horizon is the default starting point on a computer or laptop. In the Horizon WebRef mobile apps for Android and iOS, New Horizon is already what you see. If you still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu. You can switch back to Legacy Horizon from that menu any time during the transition.

This article covers Counters in HorizonWebRef, the report assignors use to review season totals for each official.

Open it from Schedule on Master Game Schedule (Utilities, then Counters) or from Administrative Forms. Use this article when you need to compare volume, find officials with turnbacks or declines, look back at a prior season, or print the list you are viewing. Officials who only work games do not open this report for themselves unless they also assign.

Choose a season

Counters opens on the current season or fiscal year by default. Use the season control at the top of the filters to pick another season your organization can open. Calendar-year seasons show a single year. Other season calendars show a two-year label such as 2024-2025.

Every organization can open the current season plus one prior season. Locked seasons show a lock. Selecting a locked season explains how Extended Archiving unlocks more history. Organization administrators (and Designers) can open Add-Ons in System Settings to purchase it. Other assignors are asked to contact an organization administrator.

Choose a counter

Pick the counter type, then sort and search by name. Game count and turnbacks are always available. Declines appear when your organization uses declines. TBA issued and TBA responses appear when your organization uses TBAs. Hide zero values when you only want people who have a total for the selected counter.

The list updates as you change the season, type, sort, or search. Your own row is marked so you can find it quickly. On a phone, each official is a stacked row. On a larger screen, the same people appear in a table.

View details

For turnbacks, declines, and TBAs, open details next to an official who has a total greater than zero. The detail list shows the individual items behind that number for the season you selected. Game count does not have a detail list on this report.

Recalculate, refresh, export, and print

On the current season, Recalculate Totals refreshes the numbers from the current schedule. Use it after a busy stretch of assigning if a total looks stale.

On a past season, Refresh season totals rebuilds that season’s snapshot from the schedule. The first time you open a past season, Horizon may need a moment to prepare the totals for large organizations.

Open Utilities to export a spreadsheet or print the list you are viewing. Print opens a printable document in a new window and is hidden in the Horizon WebRef mobile apps. Export stays available there if you need a file. Neither action leaves the Counters report.

If you still see the older layout

On a computer or laptop, New Horizon is the default starting point as of September 28, 2026. The older legacy layout appears only if you switched back to Legacy Horizon. Menus, buttons, and page titles can differ from the New Horizon Experience steps above. Use the English words on your screen.

Past-season selection and locked-season Extended Archiving prompts are part of the New Horizon Counters report. If you still have the older layout, choose Switch to New Horizon from the banner or your account menu to use them.
